2025 Named Storms List. An average atlantic basin hurricane season produces 14 named storms, seven of which go on to become hurricanes, and three normally reach major hurricane. The met office revealed this year’s list, which covers the 2025/2025 season starting in september to coincide with the beginning of autumn.

The names are given out in alphabetical order, and each new storm gets the next name on the list. There are just under two months left before the official atlantic hurricane season ends in november, and with millions of people across the southeast.
